Chair Job Description
The Chairperson shall:
- Be aware of, and pursue projects for the Founders Fund Award.
- Coordinate with the President to present to the Board and membership the three GCA finalist candidates of the Founders Fund.
- Follow achievements of local candidates deserving of a GCA Medal Award and coordinate its presentation.
- Submit to the Board of Directors for consideration, one or more candidates from the Community if deserving of a Club civic improvement award. (Betsy: this could mean beautification or conservation).
- Work with the current president and the past president to identify Club members worthy of Club awards presented at the LMGC Annual Meeting in June.
- Submit necessary material and portfolios to the GCA Zone XI Awards Chair for acceptance of awards. (See GCA Awards Manual for details.)
